iPhone 3G Factory - Unlocked

This afternoon I get an iPhone 3G, a smartphone that I've been waiting a long time. In this review, I will compare and lack of improvement compared with the first generation.

3G iPhone is not officially available in Indonesia, but in countries such as Hong Kong and Singapore, the iPhone be sold without a contract, or in more familiar terms with the Factory Unlocked. Where we can use a GSM sim of any service without a contract and of course the price is very expensive relative to now. For the standard $ 11,500 dollars, iPhone 3G, black 16GB capacity this I get the price of $980. of course the price is very expensive and risky because these things do not get a warranty guarantee in Indonesia since that has not officially marketed by Apple here.

WHAT YOU GET

Thick box iPhone 3G box exactly like the previous generation, but added 3G writing course. iPhone 3G is also available in 2 colors, namely black and white. Colors are located on the back cover from the body. There's also a storage capacity of 8GB and 16GB.
There are in the Box

The items contained in the box are:

* IPhone
* Manual, stickers, and cleaning cloth iPhones, all included in the package 1 black.
* Earphone with mic and controller.
* Charger
* USB cable to the iPhone, can plug into your computer and can also plug into the charger.
* Clips clips thin as a book for the sim card out of its slot.

Similar Front With First Generation

Similar Front With First Generation
ENHANCING THE QUALITY THAN THE FIRST GENERATION

External Speaker:

One thing that bothered me in the first generation iPhone is very poor quality of external speakers located at the bottom left. The voice broke when we listen to the song using the external speakers, so the need to use the equalizer by setting "Bass Reducer" to minimize the sound that seemed broken.
External Mic, iPod port and Mic

External Mic, iPod port and Mic

Apple seems to listen to complaints from its customers first-generation iPhone with an external quality improvement speakers located in the second generation, or what we usually call the iPhone 3G. The voice sounds more firm and not broken. Is certainly one important improvement from the first generation.

3G Connection:

EDGE technology (Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution) that is used in the first generation is very slow. Ok to open the light sites, but access remains slow will bother us for browsing. The use of 3G technology in this new generation is one of the most anticipated feature of the iPhone buyers.

Performance improvement that I experienced and felt significant. Surely a stable 3G connection is also required. So the choice of the appropriate 3G operators very important role here.

The use of 3G technology is certainly a little more battery drain than using EDGE technology.

Homescreen with more icon:

In the first generation, the homescreen on your iPhone can not be moved as the second generation, so not much to put a shortcut icon application. On the iPhone 3G, on the homescreen can also slide it so that it can contain many shortcut icon. Of course, this feature is provided by Apple for the current user is able to load lots of applications on the iPhone via free or paid applications that can be obtained through the AppStore.

AppStore and iTunes Store:

Two of these features is very exciting, when if you already have an account and credit in the USA iTunes Store. You can simply buy an application or download a free, and purchase songs directly from iTunes via your iPhone. Like a music store in your pocket.

QUALITY BODY

chassis parts made from aluminum and the rear black plastic we meet on the first generation was removed and replaced all the plastic casing of high quality. Surely more plastic casing does not block the signal from the network and the design makes the rear of the iPhone is more consistent than previous generations. But the lack of plastic material is to be a gathering place for the oil found on our fingers.
Oil fields

Oil fields

The back is a gathering place for the oil to make the iPhone look less attractive. But the real conditions are not too bad as the picture above photo.

In front of the screen also remains a gathering place for oil because our finger friction to control the iPhone. The use of anti-scratch on the screen can overcome this problem, but it will make the screen look more matte and less impressed with the light.

My experience using the first generation iPhone, the screen quality of glass is very good. With wiped to dress, the screen looks clean again without leaving blisters. It's really Apple's attention when making this product and certainly applies to this second generation.

Blackberry Gemini - cheap with luxury features

Blackberry lovers, you would have heard it often enough Blackberry Curve 8520 mobile phone aka Gemini, which is low end handsets made by Research in Motion (RIM). Unfortunately, as of early September this smartphone still can not enter Indonesia for some reason. But do not worry, Review1st been holding and fiddling with the Blackberry Curve 8520, or we briefly with familiar call, Gemini. Well, to satisfy your curiosity and that not disappointed or disappointment before buying, here's a special review of Review1st.

1st LOOK

The main points of course Blackberry Gemini prices are 'cheap'. That is, this is the type of Blackberry with the most affordable price than his brothers who had already been circulated in the market.

For the record, this handset that is the product reviewed Black Market (BM) is not the official version on the market for Indonesia. Actually there was no significant difference with the official version except for the warranty and 'maybe' logo include product owner. For example on Gemini Blackberry that we use are made T-Mobile phone at the bottom.

Okay, let's start in terms of design reviews. Physically, the BlackBerry 8520 aka Gemini have a view like Javelin or the Tour (the same descent Curve series) with a QWERTY keypad 36. But, Gemini is more petite and able to fully grasped by the hand. In effect, the button became smaller.

the body's dynamic and less rigid, lightweight impressed because the components
casing made of plastic with a rubber combination. Gemini's unique BlackBerry smartphones including resilient. In the experiment tossed to the floor from a height of 1 meter, this phone remains intact no one any less.

1st TOUCH

Revolution in Gemini Blackberry trackpad is used as a substitute for a navigation trackball which is quite identical with the product manufacturer RIM. Create information only so that no wonder, trackpad is the button that rely navigation sensors that are sensitive to touch. Maybe if the laptop is almost like a touch pad mouse replacement. Box model as usual D-pad, and when tested Review1st quite sensitive to touch. Our conclusion, trackpad on the Gemini can be an alternative that is not less powerful than the trackball.

Gemini blackberry_gemini_8520_11Blackberry use v4.6.1 operating system, equivalent to the Javelin and the Bold. Of course not as sophisticated Storm with v4.7.1. View the smartphone is similar to his elder brother Javelin both icons and menus.

Standard Blackberry features are buried in this smartphone. Starting from Push Mail, which can be used to subscribe to the service BIS / BES service. 10 supported email accounts plus the automatic settings. BlackBerry Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, Windows Live and AIM. There is also Office To Go, but still a trial version. Memo pad, Voice Note, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, Twitter (application center).

2-megapixel camera but not equipped with LED flash and auto focus. In addition, the available music player / video, Image / Picture Viewer, Voice recording and a few games. Unfortunately, the internal memory is only 256 MB (shared). Meanwhile, applications from outside could only be installed to internal memory.

But for many other things like storing files or data available external memory slot for microSD cards. Not bad, for you who likes to store various digital data in the phone.

A little disappointment on this smartphone, namely the lack of internal GPS receiver, although the available digital maps. Network was only supported EDGE class. But a little relieved by the presence of WiFi, Bluetooth and microUSB data cable.

In class, BlackBerry Gemini to produce options for office needs and to the internet through BIS service. Images though still solid body of material quality somewhat decreased. But if you look at the features completeness affairs, still less with few rivals (example: Nokia E63) at a price range not far different.

Plus: Pushmail, BIS / BES, Wi-Fi, trackpad
Minus: There is no internal GPS, not 3G

Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, Mobile Cheap Nokia 5800 Successor

NOKIA has started replacing the label 'XpressMusic' with a new series of 'X' but some new XpressMusic phones were still encouraged by the Finnish vendor. One of them is the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic which appears in this October. Interestingly the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic is the successor of the 5800 XpressMusic touch-screen support. With a cheaper price than its predecessor the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the new version of the second touch-screen products in this range beautify XpressMusic view but reduce some of its features.

1st LOOK

First time at this phone, Review1st find a touch screen products with stylish design. If seen look more stylish than the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic but with sleeker designs and more concise.

Unfortunately, only carry the touchscreen interface resistive technology, which is not class-generation touch-screen 'iPhone' that have been relying on capacitive screen technology. Automatic, sensitivity to touch of a finger relative is not ideal and perfect if you want to use must use the stylus to the body crammed phone.

3928587643_082ddd531bDiagonal touch screen Nokia 5530 XpressMusic relatively smaller than the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, only about 2.9 inches only. Additional on this phone is the presence of the touch button for phone support and access to the main menu. When viewing the menu on this phone, Review1st found that this phone uses Symbian OS S60 5th edition. Class with the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic or Nokia N97. Widgets available as a shortcut to access a specific menu.

1st TOUCH

When touched this phone first, immediately met with Review1st access the screen orientation can be changed digonta between landscape and portrait modes simply by changing the phone from standing position to be sideways. So, accelerometer technology was pinned on this phone.

XpressMusic is certainly a product that relies on the power of the music sector. Well, support for this sector, according Review1st competent enough. Both software and hardware, the phone is satisfactory to be used to access various things on the music-oriented.

Look, completeness found as stereo speakers and standard audio ports 3.5 mm. Not to forget Blue tooth with A2DP capabilities. Moreover, all the music files directly readable by the phone and sorted into various different categories automatically. Music interface was relatively recent compared to other series is based on Symbian S60 3rd edition.

Nokia 5330 XpressMusic also features 3.2-mega pixel camera, still equivalent to the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic though no frills Carl Zeiss. Good image quality supported LED flash to take pictures in the room. This camera can use MP4 video recording with VGA resolution and frame rate to 30 fps.

Now, for the internet business before losing the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Nokia 5800 XpressMusic instead. Line data only EDGE and GPRS class without 3G or HSDPA support. GPS is also not available on this phone, thanks to WiFi on this phone is also support for Bluetooth and micro USB data cable. Last 70 MB of internal memory supported by MicroSD card slot but to increase storage capacity.

If you need XpressMusic phone with touch screen price affordable price then this phone may be an option. Moreover, in terms of compact design and style with quality components of quality casing. But please remember, compared to the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is more reliable for the Internet business.

Plus: style and ergonomic design, there is Wifi, standard audio port, touch screen supported by Symbian S60 5th edition

Minus: Non 3G and HSDPA, no GPS

Nokia N98 - The network has long appeared photo, Toli, mythical, Toli, still in the development of Nokia N98
Here are the most truthful information about the device. Nokia N98 - not a myth and not reality.

Model N98 - is an invention of French engineers, published in 2008, which acts as a candidate IPhone. Designed much like the iPhone, but with the technical side, Nokia N98 surpasses rival. Model of the newest models released earlier served as a phone - Nokia 8600 Luna. The basic concept of French professionals borrowed from its predecessor, but significantly improved and modernized virtually all funktsinal phone. If you want to be always in touch (e-mail, surfing, instant messenger), the BlackBerry 8310 with a QWERTY keyboard will have you taste.

In a stroysve has all the functions inherent in smart phones, communicators: the client for e-mail (just tell us in detail below), the mobile OFFICE (for viewing and editing of *. doc and *. xls files), a slot for memory uvilicheniya, bdyutuz, media player. A great advantage of this model is the presence of GPS. And to negative - the lack of WiFi support and 3G (as in my opinion, such a device should attend one of the modules to quickly transfer data).
Mail client supports virtually all protocols:
** BlackBerry ® Enterprise Server for Microsoft ® Exchange
** BlackBerry ® Enterprise Server for IBM ® Lotus ® Domino ® BlackBerry ® Enterprise Server for IBM ® Lotus ® Domino ®
** BlackBerry ® Enterprise Server for Novell ® GroupWise ® BlackBerry ® Enterprise Server for Novell ® GroupWise ®

** Support for AES or Triple DES encryption when integrated with BlackBerry Enterprise Server ** Support for AES or Triple DES encryption when integrated with BlackBerry Enterprise Server
The battery allows the device to work for a long time (with an average mode of up to 2.5-3 days).
We can not say that the device is small, but not looking at this phone does not seem heavy, lying in his hand.
I think for a brief review, I gave enough information. If you are looking for a good smart phone for work (mail, gps, OFFICE), with a good battery, comfortable keyboard, nice screen, then I would advise you to take Blackberry 8310 without hesitation, despite the fact that it has no WiFi and 3G.

G1 Google Android

G1 Google Android - After a week of playing with Google and the new HTC Android phone, I can say with a big commitment to the platform. See the unboxing photos here and watch it.

Let's break this down into two main parts and focus it - hardware and operating system.

Construction and Hardware Design. Off the Bat, the G1 phone is hideous - time. We see a lot of phone from HTC but HTC Dream is a really odd one. I think this model was conceptualized way back in 2003. And despite the plastic body, it still feels heavy and bigger hands.

gphone

The number of people asked me why the phone is angled at the bottom end. I realized that the partial release was made to provide a better grip when handled and positioned horizontally to take pictures.

The well spaced qwerty keyboard benefited from the extensive body of G1. Since the keypad is hidden from the slider, the individual keys are buried in the pad did not get much feedback when typing them. The keyboard is also heavily oriented to the left of your right thumb has a hard time to reach the middle keys.

gphone

Before the panel, there are 5 buttons and a trackball that serves as the primary navigation and shortcuts for using the phone. The trackball in the middle they are very easy to use especially when running through long lists such as your contacts or Playlist and crawling through the items and links when browsing. It also serves as an Ok button.

gphone

At first glance, the lever supporting the slider as it is made of plastic and can be a problem when it breaks off. However, the spring mechanism is constructed of metal so that it can last prolonged use. The phone makes some squeaking noise when applied to pressure or when flipped - sounds like walking inside a bamboo floor.

The UI and Operating System. This is the first time I used a new OS on a mobile phone. We have been pretty familiar with the Symbian OS, Windows Mobile, Palm OS and iPhone OS. Google Android platform for a better performing first generation OS. It's quick, and it agrees very well integrates with Google Apps.

The basic interface works like a desktop with icons scattered around the 3 panes. It is like an extended desktop you can flip across (like the iPhone but limited to 3). There is also a sidebar that extends around the screen that contains shortcuts to a group function or an installed application. What is really nice alerts are not intrusive - with a little one-liner ticker slides on top of the screen to indicate SMS and other notices (including a buzzing sound and shake).

gphone

The Apple iPhone OS works shamelessly with the iPhone because platform was simple for them. Similarly, Android is also simple to G1 and so, you will get an optimized UI and performance. The menu is intuitive and responds very well. There are some minor quirks here and there but overall, the OS performs the above shape.

gphone

Imagine having this platform to your favorite phone? The T-Mobile G1 is only a test model. Then we see more and more models out Android on it, they are becoming clear to us that the platform is actually a solid opponent against the iPhone OS.

Nokia E71

Nokia E71 - After a few weeks on the Nokia E71, I can definitely say this is the best and most equipped smartphone coming out of Nokia doors for the longest time. The smaller form factor has some drawbacks but it is something expected because of size constraints.

nokia e71 Nokia E71 (see the unboxing pictures here) is the successor to the popular Nokia E61 & E61i but following the same characteristics from the candybar Nokia E51 (see review here). Click the thumbnail images to see the bigger picture.

Nokia E71 is the shrunked to just 57mm (E61i is 70mm) and trimmed down to an amazingly 10mm (E61i is 13.9mm) thick. That's slimmer than the E51 in 12mm and as slim as the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic (9.9mm) and the Nokia 6500 Classic (9.5mm). The size of E61 is the main reason why I chose the Samsung Blackjack over it.

nokia e71 Because of that, the display screen got a little narrower to 2.36 inches (320 × 240 pixels) from 2.8 "to E61. That includes QWERTY keyboard with the keys a little too tight. However, I think the Nokia made a good trade-off by making the keys more embossed to not accidentally hit neighboring keys. Type becomes uncomfortable when you nail-oriented than thumb-oriented. The number keys are all positioned in the middle so you can easily type in alone.

The cable department, the Nokia E71 offers all imaginable in its form factor - 3G/HSDPA 3.6Mbps, WiFi 802.11 b / g, built-in GPS receiver and A-GPS function, MicroUSB, below - red and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP. The internal memory of 110MB is a little small considering the E51 has 130MB, but a dedicated 128MB RAM and ARM 11 369 MHz processor which makes answering the phone. Besides, you can add to 8GB of storage with hot-swappable microSD card.

nokia e71 camera The only disappointing feature of E71 is 3.15 megapixel camera (2048 × 1536 pixels). This is to be auto-focus but no way I can see it work the autofocus will be manually toggled every time you make a shot. You must press the "t" or "4" key to make this.I did some sample shots here (click thumbnail) - can not make even a modest and focus on shooting had a more decent shot here but if you are going to take moving pictures with a camera, forget about it.

No dedicated camera button next too, so you need to use the middle button to take pictures and video. Video quality is not better it maxes to 15fps. A second front-facing camera for Video calls.

I guess Nokia does not bother to make improvements in optics considering that it is mostly business phone. I once had a chat with the Nokia N78 Product Manager and he told me that the camera is on top of the list of characteristics that affect the thickness of the phone (so does the cost).

The audio quality is decent and sound volume is good though the speakers are placed at the top side. With support for 3D sound and MPEG4 video playback is smooth.

A cluster of mobile office productivity tools is pre-installed - QuickOffice, Dictionary, Adobe PDF reader, Zip manager and printer. A secure intranet feature connect to your office network via VPN. You can also enable the built in encryption features to secure files on your phone's memory or external memory card.

Nokia E71 review

Battery life is good and the BP-4L lithium polymer is rated at 1500 mAh. Nokia suggests a time to speak of a whooping 10.5 hours! Just make sure to turn off WiFi scanning to store more juice. From experience, using lasting 2.5 to 3 days with normal use 3G and WiFi.

All-in-all, I'd give the Nokia E71 a good buy for data / connection dependent user. It is not for multimedia fans though.
